The Illuminati: The Story Behind The Symbols

The Illuminati, one of the greatest conspiracy theories of all time, has found its way into popular culture. Artists such as Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Kanye West have performed throwing up their Illuminati symbols and this has triggered the young generation’s fascination with this secret society. Whether it’s true or not, this topic of high popularity and interest has caused people to start questioning the structures and actions that surround them in daily life.
Modern Illuminati
The Illuminati is a secret organization of the most powerful and elite people in the world. It includes a cartel of international bankers and industrialists based in Western Europe and North America. Famous families such as Rothschild, Rockefeller, Morgan, Lazard, Warburg, Schroder and Schiff are suspected to be part of this organization. Several modern fraternal groups claim to be the “heirs” of the Bavarian Illuminati and have openly used the name “Illuminati” in their rites like “The Illuminati Order” and “Ordo Templi Orientis.” The Illuminati is also suspected of recruiting celebrities into their society like, Jay-Z and Beyonce, whose daughter’s name, “Blue Ivy,” backwards, “Yvi Eulb,” translates to “Lucifer’s child” in Latin. It is also believed that the Illuminati are responsible for the death of Tupac Shakur after he refused to join the society and denounced them in several songs.

The alleged society has always been based off of Freemasonry, which members of the Illuminati controlled during the 18th century. Freemasonry is a secret institution in which members at one level don’t know what members at another level are doing. Having 2000 members over a span of 10 years, many politicians and intellectuals were believed to be part of this secret society, such as Ferdinand of Brunswick and Diplomat Xavier von Zwack. In 1777 Karl Theodor became ruler of Bavaria and his government banned all secret societies, causing Weishaupt to flee. All of his and Von Zwack’s documents were seized and then published by the Bavarian government. About 10-15 years after the Illuminati’s downfall, Augustin Barruel’s Memoirs illustrating the History of Jacobinism and John Robison’s Proofs of a Conspiracy publicized the theory that the Illuminati survived. It also represented an ongoing international conspiracy, claiming the Illuminati were behind the French Revolution.

Goals of the Illuminati
This society of international bankers, top government officials, leaders in the energy cartel, and media monopoly owners has one goal, to control the world through a one-world government. In order to reach this goal they crave to have total control of financial systems, the media, and universities. Currently, they set up the council on foreign relations, the Bilderberg group, and the tri-lateral commission. The Illuminati are also believed to have control over the U.N. and federal agencies.
The Dollar Bill & the Illuminati
On the back of the American dollar bill is the pyramid of Egypt and above it reads “Annuit Coeptis,” which in Latin translates to “our enterprise is now a success.” While beneath the pyramid the banner reads “Novus Ordo Seclorum” which means “New World Order.” At the bottom of the pyramid are the roman numerals for 1776 and people believe that instead of representing our independence, this number is meant to represent the year Adam Weishaupt founded the Bavarian Illuminati. Right below “Annuit Coeptis” is the all-seeing eye with light emanating around it, a symbol of freemasonry, and this is believed to show the influence of freemasonry on America. Lastly on the dollar bill is the sequence of the number 13 in the amount of layers on the pyramid, letters in the Latin phrases, and stripes which represents Masonic symbolism.
